Its been a busy couple of weeks especially for our hill runners at Cairncastle Fell race, The Hill and Dale series and even on the Isle of Arran. Meanwhile our ladies took part in the Stunnerz and Runnerz at Loughry.
Ballymena Runners is delighted to announce that entries for the Broughshane 5 Mile Road Race are now open.

James Hamilton and Jack McKenna secured 2nd and 3rd in the Mens race while Kerry Bamber, Brigid Quinn and Stephen Gage had age category wins. Well done and congratulations to everyone.

This week it was off to Donard for Duncan in the Slieve Donard Classic while Jamie Scott got himself a 10k PB at the Almac races in Carigavon.
There’s been a fabulous weekend of racing and prize winners galore in races, in Ballycastle, the Mournes, Ballyclare and Newry. Congratulations to Judith and Daniel Hanna for 3rd place finishes at the May Fair races and to Tony on his 3rd place at the Marconi 5k. Well done to those who got age category wins. We’re all set for a summer!
Great results and performances abound at all distances from 5k to Marathons, and we show we really do run everywhere - Belfast, The Mournes, Vancouver, Termoneeney, Strabane/Lifford. Well done to all our runners.
Its been another great week of running for the Club with a huge turnout at the Purple Ladies. Manchester Marathon tempted a few of us and in the Hill and Dale series the guys got to the best mountain in the Mournes - Binnian!
Congratulations to all our runners in the London Marathon and to everyone who took part in races in Whitehead, the Maiden City, The Friendly 5000 and the Hill and Dale series.
Last week saw some superb performances by Ballymena Runners in the Larne 10 mile road race. Well done to everyone who took part. As well as running the Coast Road we took to the Mournes for the Hill and Dale series and even tackled a half marathon on a Munro in Scotland.
The past couple of weeks have seen some outstanding performances including quite a few PBs.
We ran at Queens, at a palace, up mountains, through cities and even at the Zoo. We run everywhere!
The Fairhill 5 has sold out. We have over 530 entries so it promises to be a great atmosphere at a great race. Entries are now closed and just a reminder that there is no entry on the night.

It was standing room only on Tuesday night as around 70 Cosy Sofa Graduates and the brilliant Ballymena Runners Cosy Sofa Team met to celebrate the group completing their first 5k run on Saturday morning.

Last weekend saw our mountain runners tackle the short and stunning Slieve Gullion mountain race in South Armagh.
Meanwhile up in the Maiden City a host of club runners tackled the Foyle Bridge in the Walled City 10 miler - and a great day out by all accounts….
Congratulations to Ciara and 60 other runners who completed their first 30 minute run tonight. It’s a brilliant achievement for all our new runners.

The Annual Spud Run in Glenariff saw well deserved mountain running success for William Fleck, Ruth Aiken and Mark Alexander.

30 Ballymena Runners descended on St Mary’s Parish Centre on the first Sunday of spring to take part in the annual Glens Runners Annual Charity Run / Walk with varying distances including the 15 miler from Ballycastle to Cushendall.
Well worth it for a great feed after running a wonderful route. Top morning out!

Some great performances from Ray Curran, Brendan Kerr and James McLornan at the Stormont XC and a brilliant performance from James Hamilton saw him secure 10th place. Well done all.
Strong performances in all distances in the Rabbit Run in Ballycastle with Dale Kirkwood wining the 10k. The Cross Country also saw strong performances including Kieran Scullion winning the Mens Veteran category.
