Wednesday Training

Wednesday training has a focus on building strength and speed at a variety of locations including Ballymena Showgrounds, Ecos Park, Sentry Hill and Portglenone Forest. This comprises a mix of trail, hill and speed work including interval training and track sessions. 

Please check which group suits you best but as a broad rule of thumb the groups are:

  • Performance (suitable for sub 23 min 5k runners)

  • Development (suitable for sub 23 - 26 min 5k runners)

  • Foundation (suitable for 26+ min 5k runners)

Hill Training is Back – Let’s Get Strong! 

Ready to take your running to the next level? Our Hill (Grass) Training Sessions are back and kick off this Wednesday 13 August, running weekly until Wednesday 17 September!

These sessions are fantastic for building strength, stamina, and speed – plus they offer a refreshing change from pounding the pavements. Running hills might sound tough, but the buzz after is unbeatable... and the gains are real!

Meet at People's Park Car Park at 6:25pm sharp for a steady jog over to Sentry Hill where the real fun begins.

Whether you're training for a race or just want to mix things up, this is the perfect midweek boost. Don’t miss it – let’s climb together!
