Coaching Team

The Coaching Team

The Coaching Team comprises all the Leaders who volunteer their time to support club members and help ensure that the needs of all members from the newest to the most experienced are supported.  With a club of over 300 members we cannot give individual training plans to every member. Our approach is to provide as much support, information and advice as possible through a wide range of activities including:

  • Regular Monday/Wednesday Training

  • Peer Group Training

  • Event Training e.g. for targeted races, Mountain Running

  • The Cosy Sofa Programme for beginners

  • Come and Try It Sessions e.g. Track, Cross Country, Trail

  • Advice on Staying Safe & Reducing Injury Risk

  • Training & Supporting Leaders and Coaches

  • Talks

  • Mentoring

All these activities are run by the Coaching Committee which includes representatives of the Foundation, Development and Performance Sections, the Captains and vice captains and other experienced runners.

If you have any questions or suggestions talk to anyone on the Coaching Team or drop an e-mail to ballymenarunners@hotmail.com
