Colour Runs

As a club with over 350 members Ballymena Runners has a significant reach into local communities. We believe that running is for everyone and that it has many health benefits. We are involved in a wide range of activities in Ballymena and the surrounding towns and villages. Our activities span all ages and involve working with schools, community groups and charities.

Over recent years we have worked with a number of schools and community groups to organise fun runs, colour runs and races. We will consider all requests but logistically we can only put on so many events each year.

Thanks to Galgorm Resort and Spa who have provided generous sponsorship for our programme of Colour Runs. Their sponsorship will enable over 500 local children to take part in this fun filled activity. Naomi Taylor, Meeting and Events Manager at Galgorm said:

Thanks to Galgorm Resort and Spa we are currently organising a series of colour runs with some local schools and groups. Details of groups and events are as follows:

  • Castle Tower School Saturday 14th October at 11am at Ballee Playing Fields (see our report on this fantastic fundraising event)

  • Ballymena Ladies Rugby Saturday 6th April 2024

    Ballymena Ladies Rugby are having a ’Colour Run’ on Saturday 6th April at Ballymena Rugby Club! It is set to be great family fun day with lots to do!
    Treat yourself to a burger or ice cream, get your face painted, join in on the fun tag event before you enjoy the Colour Run!

    Only £10 per ticket with a free t-shirt to wear during the Colour Run and have as a keep sake. Medals for the little ones!
