Castle Tower School Colour Run 2023

Ballymena Runners was delighted to help organise a colour run for the children of Castle Tower school in Ballymena. Despite a cold afternoon almost 100 children took part along with their parents, teachers and school staff. The adults had as much fun as the kids.

As well as the colour run the school had organised hot food, snacks, games and a raffle. Working together with Castle Tower Parents, Friends and Staff Association the event helped raise funds towards a new school bus. In total a massive £7846 was raised. The Castle Tower Parents, Friends and Staff Association facebook pages have lots of pictures of the day.

Ballymena Runners member Stephen Brown who organised the event was delighted the club was able to help:

It’s brilliant that Ballymena Runners are so active supporting the local community. Its great to see so many children out enjoying themselves. The smiles on the faces of the children and everyone else involved makes colour runs such rewarding fun.

My thanks to the large number of Ballymena Runners who helped out making this such a fun packed day for the children. Thanks also to the staff and parents of Castle Tower for their enthusiasm and making the day such a success.

Club member Siobhan Blair, who also works at Castle Tower School, loved the colour run:

I loved to help out at the colour run. It’s such a fantastic activity for kids. It was great to see the parents and teachers taking part as well. It was a really fun day out with everyone covered in paint by the end of the day.
