Good evening runners,
We at Ballymena Runners AC are absolutely delighted to welcome you to our town and to one of the signature events on our calendar — the Fairhill Five Mile Road Race, proudly sponsored by the Fairhill Shopping Centre.
Race Overview
We’re thrilled to announce a record number of entries this year — thank you for making this one of our biggest and most exciting events yet!
Race Date: Thursday 5th June
Start Time: 7:00 PM sharp
Start Location: Broughshane Street entrance, Fairhill Shopping Centre
Finish Location: Trostan Avenue (just a 5–10 minute walk back to the Fairhill Centre)
Marshals and signage will be in placeto guide runners and spectators throughout the evening.
Race Night Info
Arrival Time: Please arrive at the start area by 6:45 PM.
Bag Drop: Runners may leave items at the start line — these will be transferred and available for collection in the church hall after the race.
Timing: Chip-timed results will be published as soon as they’re available on the night.

Thursday 5th June (Race Day): From 4:30 PM at the Fairhill Centre
Saturday 31st May: Early collection available 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, also at the Fairhill Centre

Getting Here
The simplest route is via the M2 Ballymena Bypass:
Take the A42 exit and follow signs for the Town Centre (Broughshane).
Approach via Raceview Road and Broughshane Road to the Fairhill Centre.

Post-Race Celebration
We’re teaming up with Fairhill Centre, local businesses, and Ballymena BID to deliver our traditional “Big Feed” and prize giving at Ballymena First Presbyterian Church Hall.
Expect spot prizes, gift vouchers, and lots of post-race cheer — all runners and volunteers are welcome!
We’re so excited to welcome you to Ballymena — whether we see you at number collection on Saturday 31st or on the start line on Thursday 5th June, get ready for a fantastic evening of running, community spirit, and celebration.

The Fairhill 5 has sold out. We have over 530 entries so it promises to be a great atmosphere at a great race.
Entries are now closed and just a reminder that there is no entry on the night.
Update 22 May 2025 - Entries closing soon

We have extended the closing date until midnight Tuesday 27 May 2025. There is no entry on the night. Race numbers are capped - don’t miss out! Book now, join us for the race and enjoy the famous Ballymena Runners ‘Big Feed’ afterwards.
Race packs will be available for collection on Saturday 31 May 2025 in the Fairhill Centre from 10am until 2pm. Pack collection will be available on the night from 4.30pm in the Fairhill Centre.
Free carparking is available in the Fairhill Centre from 6pm to 9pm on race day. Free carparking is also available beside the after-race event in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church Hall. The carparks are both on Meeting House Lane.

Post race refreshments and entertainment
We will have the famous Ballymena Runners ‘Big Feed’ to welcome you home!
All participants are invited to attend the after-race event in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church Hall. Join us and sample the legendary hospitality of Ballymena Runners.
Race number collection
Race packs will be available for collection on Saturday 31 May 2025 in the Fairhill Centre from 10am until 2pm. Pack collection will be available on the night from 4.30pm in the Fairhill Centre.
Medals and prizes
All finishers of this iconic 5-mile race will receive a bespoke, commemorative medal as they finish.

Age Category Prices (M & F) £20
Spot prizes will also be given out
Prizes will be distributed immediately after the event in the Church Hall.
Results will be available after the race on the usual platforms.
