Well done everyone!

King William Crowned Hill and Dale Master!

Friday night marked the grand finale of Newcastle AC’s fantastic Hill and Dale series.

The evening began with the traditional processional run into Donard Park, Newcastle via the scenic trails of Donard Wood -a fitting close to one of Northern Ireland’s premier mountain running events.

Ballymena Runners’ ever-present duo, Nigel McClintock and William Fleck, lined up for the final showdown, taking on the spicy 6k / 400m course to round off their campaigns.

But the headline of the night and surely the month — belonged to King William.

Wills ruled the Hills and Dales with a flawless series performance. With six wins from six in his age category, William Fleck was simply untouchable, sealing the title in commanding fashion.

Congratulations to William on his well-earned crown, and to Nigel for yet another series of consistent racing and strong club representation at this event.

Thank you to Newcastle Athletic Club for another fabulous series!
