Brilliant performances at NI & Ulster Track & Field Championships and at Newbridge 5k &10k

Ballymena Runners on the Big Stage!

Last Saturday, Joshua Blair and Brendan Kerr traded their usual longer distances for the lightning pace of the NI & Ulster Track & Field Championships at the iconic Mary Peters Track.

Both took on the 800m in ultra-competitive heats — and experienced the buzz of the call room before stepping out onto the track. Joshua clocked 2:14 in his debut over the distance, while Brendan stormed home in 2:11 in Heat 2.

No finals this time, but a huge achievement and fantastic experience — with Dame Mary Peters herself watching on!

Well done lads — brilliant to see the Sky Blue Army on show at such a prestigious event!.

Newbridge 5k and 10k

On Sunday 10th August, 11 of our crew smashed out 5Ks & 10Ks on the fast, flat course at Sean O’Leary’s Gaelic Club in Newbridge. A warm welcome and brilliant hospitality awaited us at this well organised event.

From swift 5K finishes to strong 10K performances, every runner gave their all, cheered on by fellow club members and a lively local crowd . Some runners achieved PB's, while others enjoyed the rare treat of racing in such ideal conditions.

Huge congratulations to all.
