Ballymena Runners in Lisburn
On Friday night a few BRAC runners competed in The Roadrunner Night Of Races at the Maze Heritage site in Lisburn.
Following the opening 3K race we had the 5K where 1st home for Ballymena with a season best time of 18.30 was Daire Hasson who was closely followed by Robert Clyde in 18.38, next home in his 1st race in 11 months after a knee operation and other injuries was the very impressive David Murray in 19.05, with Cherith Wright just behind 19.22, and just behind Cherith was our marathon man John Robinson 19.23.
John was followed by Ian McCracken who was pacing his daughter Faith on the night for a well deserved PB.
Last race the 10K had the largest entries of the night overall, 1st in for Ballymena was Timmy Bamber in 43.11, impressive time in his 1st race for few months and following Timmy was Colin Wright who was on pacing duties, something he had sorted to perfection had it not been a major issue with the 10K course measuring slightly shorter this time, a big thanks to Roadrunners AC for a very enjoyable and well organised event!
