We have now finalised our programme of events for 19th and 26th March, Join us in our litter pick, sign our thank you cards and find out who will get the Ecos Spirit of parkrun award and find out all the arrangements for both days. Glenariff Mountain Race 2022 – the ‘Spud Run’
Saturday 12th March 2022 saw the opening race of the Northern Ireland Mountain Running Championships take place in Waterfoot. This race sees athletes take in 6 miles and over 1,000 feet of climbing in Glenariff. This year's was race sell out and saw some superb performances by Ballymena Runners to earn their bag of spuds at the finish line.
Ecos parkrun prepares for 10th birthday celebrations
The 10th anniversary celebrations kick-off on March 19th when ten oak trees will be planted beside the Millennium Bridge at 10:15am, just after the parkrun itself. Then its straight on to a litter pick with Ballymena Runners and the Friends of Ecos group to get the park looking as well as possible ahead of the actual anniversary run on 26th March. Ecos parkrun 10th anniversary events - volunteers needed
Ecos parkrun will be celebrating its 10th birthday on 26th March. We’re doing some special things to mark the event and we need some extra volunteers to help out. We need help to do a litter pick on 19th March, organise thank you cards and we need extra volunteers on 26th as we are expecting higher numbers. Find out what’s going on and how you can help.

Strong BRAC performances at Stormont XC and Return to Running Programme and the Larne 10-mile Training Programme continue
The NI Civil Service Athletics Club once again hosted the cross-country event at Stormont on Saturday 12th February 2022. Ballymena Runners were out in force with a strong team in both the men’s and the women’s races with 16 runners representing the club. Meanwhile the Larne 10 mile training and Return to Running groups continue.

New Return to Running and Larne 10 mile Training Programmes
We have two new programmes exclusively for members - the Return to Running Programme and the Larne 10 mile Training Programme. If you haven’t been running for a while and want to get back into it the Return to Running programme is for you. For anyone wanting to up their miles and complete a 10 mile race the Larne 10 mile training programme will help you achieve your goal. And we are calling on club members and leaders to step up and help us run these two Programmes.
