Ballymena Runners are delighted to announce details for ‘Race Over The Glen’ on Thursday 1st January 2026 at noon. Entries open on Sunday 14th September 2025 at 09:00.
This will be the 30th anniversary of Race over the Glen. To mark the occasion a Special 30th Anniversary entry will be available which includes Long-sleeved Technical T-shirt celebrating 30 years of Race Over The Glen.
Entries are capped so enter early to guarantee your place in this iconic race. Entries close on 26th December 2025.
Golden Mile results are now in.
Emmet Smith won the mens race in 4.54 and Naomi mcClelland won the ladies race in 5.39

An absolutely fantastic turnout for our club target race at GRC5k on Friday evening in Glenarm!
Brilliant to see so many Ballymena Runners taking on the scenic route from Carnlough to Glenarm.
It’s known for being one of the fastest 5k races and a lot of great times were recorded by our runners including a number of PBs. Congratulations to all .
Its been a great week of racing with our Ladies claiming a 1,2,3 at Rathlin 5K and Joshua Blair winning the Mens. We also secured podium polaces at the Broughshane 5 Mile race and at Armoy XC and there were strong performances at Scrabo and in Portrush. Well done everyone taking part.

The race was won by Neil Sillance with Chris Hopkins taking second. Ballymena Runners James Hamilton, Jason Wilson and Sean Hasson took 3rd, 4th and 5th with excellent performances.
First lady home was Kerry Bamber followed by Karen Wilton and Laura Wylie. Cherith Wright and Judith Worthington were the first and second Ballymena runners ladies home.

30 Ballymena Runners descended on St Mary’s Parish Centre on the first Sunday of spring to take part in the annual Glens Runners Annual Charity Run / Walk with varying distances including the 15 miler from Ballycastle to Cushendall.
Well worth it for a great feed after running a wonderful route. Top morning out!
