It’s week 8 of the Cosy Sofa already! Superb progress is being made by everyone by running for 30 minutes in every session.
This week Karen tells us why she joined the Cosy Sofa and why she would recommend it to others.
Unfortunately the snowy and icy weather means that we have to postpone the start of the Cosy Sofa for 1 week.
The programme will now start on Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 7:00pm in the Sports Zone Hall in the new Northern Regional College (NRC) in Ballymena.
Well done to everyone who completed the Race over the Glen today. The Ladies race was won by Aine Gosling and the Mens by Timothy Johnston. Glens Runners won both the the Male and Female Team prizes.

Runners are delighted to announce details for ‘Race Over The Glen’ on Thursday 1st January 2026 at noon. Entries are now open. Starting on Sunday 16th November we will be running 6 weeks training on the course so come and join us - all visitors welcome..
This will be the 30th anniversary of Race over the Glen. To mark the occasion a Special 30th Anniversary entry will be available which includes Long-sleeved Technical T-shirt celebrating 30 years of Race Over The Glen.

An absolutely fantastic turnout for our club target race at GRC5k on Friday evening in Glenarm!
Brilliant to see so many Ballymena Runners taking on the scenic route from Carnlough to Glenarm.
It’s known for being one of the fastest 5k races and a lot of great times were recorded by our runners including a number of PBs. Congratulations to all .
30 Ballymena Runners descended on St Mary’s Parish Centre on the first Sunday of spring to take part in the annual Glens Runners Annual Charity Run / Walk with varying distances including the 15 miler from Ballycastle to Cushendall.
Well worth it for a great feed after running a wonderful route. Top morning out!
Strong performances in all distances in the Rabbit Run in Ballycastle with Dale Kirkwood wining the 10k. The Cross Country also saw strong performances including Kieran Scullion winning the Mens Veteran category.
