In a great weekend of running find out how our runners got on at Ballyclare Mayfair races, the Pat Dunbar Memorial Mountain Race in the Mournes, The Cairncastle Mountain Race and the Marconi 5 Mile in Ballycastle

Arrangements are in place for this weeks Sunday Run at Divis Mountain. We will meet for a car share at Ballee Park and Ride at 8.30 on Sunday morning.

This is a stunning run so bring your camera for some great views of Belfast and the Lagan Valley.

Among the thousands of runners who took to the streets for the 41st Annual Belfast City Marathon, dozens of Ballymena Runners donned their blue vests and joined them. With 19 runners completing the full marathon, 5 relay teams and the supporters in the cheer zone is little wonder our runners had such success including PBs.

The past week has been exceptionally busy for club runners. Our biggest turnout was in Larne for the 10 mile race. We had mountain runners in the Mourne Marauder, safari runners at Belfast Zoo Half Marathoners in Omagh and Marathoners in Roscommon. And to top it all we donated £1456 to the Cancer Fund for Children.

On Tuesday night over 70 participants, leaders and club members attended the celebration event where participants received their medals and T-shirts. Well done everyone and welcome to the running community and Ballymena Runners.

This week has seen Ballymena Runners out and about at Glenariffe, the Walled City, Coleraine and Portadown claiming a host of PBs and medals along the way.

Last week saw runners put in some very impressive times at the Armagh Road Races and at Stormont Cross Country.

This Saturday morning saw our new runners in the Ballymena North Cosy Sofa reach the half way point in their programme. Well done to everyone on your achievements so far. Find out more about the arrangements for the next few weeks including getting your T-shirt and the graduation evening.

The Sunday run on 5 February will leave People’s Park at 9 am. We will lead a 7 mile group.
We are unable to offer a leader led 10 mile group. Anyone wanting to do the 10 mile run should note it is an informal arrangement between those taking part.
