This week saw George Buckley complete a 100 mile run across NI. The FROG tempted club members to run and cycle in the Glens. Meanwhile running continues in the Mournes in the Hill and Dale series, at Washingbay and at parkruns. The club also did a colour run at Harryville primary school that was enjoyed by kids and teachers alike.

Its been a huge weekend for the club. Eimear Nichol smashed the club’s 3000m record at the meeting at the Mary Peters Track. Meanwhile there was a big turnout at the Ballyclare May Fair races. We had runners at Edinburgh Marathon and at Newry Half Marathon. Sean Hasson came first at ecos parkrun with a new pb and the Sunday morning run went on tour to Antrim.

It’s been an incredibly busy week for the club with hill running, the Sunday run and Ecos parkrun proving extremely popular.

This week has seen a brilliant performance by Kieran Scullion in Dublin. Meanwhile the fearless four tackled Slieve Donard and 28 hardy souls tackle the hills around Broughshane on the Sunday morning run.

This weekend saw great performances from all our runners in the Belfast Marathon - well done to everyone who completed the individual and relay races. Meanwhile down in the Mournes some of our hardy hill runners have been taking part in the Hill and Dale series of mountain runs.

Book your place now for a special event with club member Eimear Nicholl who will host a special event for our female athletes. This is a great opportunity to learn from Eimear who has years of professional experience, as well as her personal involvement in Athletics over a number of years.

The new Programme and Leaders Rota is now available. It starts on Monday 25 April and runs to the end of June.

Ballymena Runners have posted some great times in The Queens 5k and at the Glenarm Challenge 10k race. We also had a lot of runners inn the Glenarm Challenge Half Marathon, the Manchester Marathon and the 50k Castle to Castle Challenge.

Ballymena Runners turned out in huge numbers for the Ecos parkrun 10th anniversary run on Saturday. In brilliant sunshine over 230 runners and walkers completed the course and stayed to enjoy the huge birthday cake. We run for buns!
