Ballymena Runners ladies and mens teams did brilliantly at the Mathieson Shield and Cup hosted by Mallusk Harriers. Sadly BRAC joined Ecos Parkrun on Saturday morning in a minute’s silence at the start of the parkrun as a mark of respect for Aishling Murphy and in support for her family, friends, and pupils.

BRAC and Ecos Parkrun are supporting the the Ballymena Hygiene Bank
In January BRAC is working with Ecos Parkrun to support the the Ballymena Hygiene Bank to collect personal care and household cleaning essentials. These are distributed locally to a network of community partners. If you have any items you can donate you can bring them to Ecos Parkrun every Saturday in January.

BRAC runners in action at Cookstown XC, the Lough Fea 5k and Glens training continues
his week send say club runners in Cross Country action at the ‘Irwin Speirs Memorial XC’ was held at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena, in Cookstown. Just up the road at Lough Fea club runners too part in the first race in the Sperrin Harriers Winter Train Series. Meanwhile Race over the Glens training continues with friends from Springwell joining the training this week.
Ballymena Runners out in force at NI 10k Championship and ROTG training starts
Saturday saw an excellent turnout at the Seeley 10k in Belfast. Our ladies led by Paula Worthington took 8th team place in the NI Championship with our men led in by James Hamilton claiming a creditable 11th team place. Sunday morning saw a fantastic start to the club’s three week training programme for the Race over the Glens. See the pics and the video of whats its like out training in the course with BRAC..

Ballymena Runners are pleased to announce that our ‘blue ribbon’ club race returns to the traditional date of New Year’s Day. The ‘Race Over the Glens’ will be held at Glenariff Forest Park, on Saturday January 1st 2022 with a noon start. There will be a new route for 2022 and we now have a stunning preview of what its like to run this iconic race showing the Queen of the Glens in all its glory.
