Santa Run 22nd December

This year’s charity Friends of the Cancer Centre who are based at the heart of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, the charity funds life-saving and life-changing projects that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer year in year out.

The suits cost £10 for which you will get your suit, and a light meal in Montgomery's at the end of the evening. It really is all about the club celebrating Christmas and helping a good cause.

For those of you who are new to this, the evening is very much a walk - slow run affair.

The route (guided by marshals) will leave Montgomery’s , go to Braid Town Hall, around the town, the Adair Arms, Tower Centre, and finish in Montgomery’s and sing a few tuneful carols at the bandstand along the way!

  • 6.30 Meet at Montgomery’s for Safety Brief

  • 6.35 group picture

  • 6.40 thank you from Charity Reps

  • 6.45 Depart, Larne Link Road to Braid Town Hall

  • 6.55 Group picture with Mayor/Deputy at Christmas Tree

  • 7.05 leave via Mill St, Wellington Street, to Bandstand

  • 7.15 sing carols at Bandstand

  • 7.25 leave Bandstand, one lap of town (Church St, Mill St, Wellington St, Ballymoney Street, William St, Broughshane St, Church Street, Mill St, Wellington Street

  • 7.55 meet at Wellington St entrance to Tower Centre group pic

  • 8.10 run through Tower Centre music? Split up with collection buckets then out bottom exit to Lower Mill Street

  • 8.25 Adair Arms – ‘juice stop’ and group pic

  • 8.30 depart Adair Arms, Lower Mill St, Wellington St,

    Ballymoney St. to Montgomery’s restaurant

  • 8.40 – hot food, music, ‘get warm’
