Our new Cosy Sofa Couch to 5k programme starts on Tuesday 10 January. The 9 week programme is open to everyone and is especially suited to people new to running. Places are limited so register now to get 2023 off to a great start….

Race Over the Glens will be on New Year’s Day (Sunday 1st January 2023) at Glenariff Forest Park starting at noon. Race entries are now open.

Everyone is reminded that from October some form of reflective clothing, or a running light, is needed.

As winter sets in with dark evenings, poor weather and more hazardous road conditions it’s important that everyone running in the club is aware of the many steps we can all take to make running with the club safe. Read our safety tips……

Strong performances at the Crebilly 5k saw the club take 6 of the top 9 places including Kathleen Law who won the Ladies race. We had a great turnout at the Purple Ladies which saw Linda Pettigrew take an age category win. Meanwhile in Scotland Jack McKenna came second in the Forth….

This week has seen great performances by club members on Lurig mountain, in Broughshane and Craigavon, in Conswater and in Donegal. Amazingly distances covered ranged from a new club record for 1500m right up to the Quadrathon - 4 marathons in 4 days.

Club member Jason Wilson wins the Carnlough Quarry 5k with strong performances from many other club members. Also dont forget about the upcoming Broughshane 5k and 10k races and the Crebilly 5k.

This weekend saw great performances at the Annadale Striders evening of 3000s at the Mary Peters Track and at the Hills borough Festival of running.

George Buckley completes the Plague running 64 miles in Cornwall. Roy White completes his 100th 10k in Newcastle and club members take part in the Run the Carn trail race.
