Ballymena Runners is delighted to announce the return of the Golden Mile and Fun Run.
The Club and Radius Housing are organising the Link the Town free community event on Saturday 13 September 2025 at Ballymena Showgrounds. The event features:
Family fun from 11.30am with games and bouncy castles
Walk and Fun Run at 12..00 noon on the new St Patrick’s Link Road
Ballymena Runners Golden Mile at 1.2.45pm on the new St Patrick’s Link Road
The event is free and open to everyone.

The Walk and Fun Run are free to enter. There is no need to register - just turn up and take part.
Entries for Ballymena Runners Golden Mile
Registration is now open - REGISTER HERE. This race is free to enter. Please register in advance. You need to be aged 14 or older to enter the Golden Mile.
We will accept race entries on the day up to 12.15 but please register in advance so there are no delays on the day.
The race will be on the new road and will be an out and back course. It is flat and fast.
Parking and Access
Car parks are available in the Showgrounds car parks on Warden Street and on the new Link Road from Kernohans Lane end. The event takes place in the car park on the Link Road.
Note the Link Road will be closed for the event from 11.30am and 1.45pm between the Showgrounds entrance and Castle Tower School.
