History is made at Race over the Glens with Jarlath Falls winning for an incredible 10th time and Niamh Marrs won the ladies race. read on for our report and results.

Ballymena Runners held its annual Club Family BBQ raising £450 for the Children's Hospice. Meanwhile runners have been in action in the Mournes and in Donegall.

This week saw Ballymena Runners at the Loughshannagh Mountain Race in the Mournes and at the Féile 10K in Belfast. Meanwhile our regulars at the track Championships Kerry Bamber and James Hamilton again faced stellar line-ups and both put in great performances.

Monday night saw a brilliant turn out by Ballymena Runners for the Broughshane 5k and 10k races. Full results are now available on the athletics NI website.

Club members took on Tri Tyrone, middle distance championships, hosted by Tri Limits Triathlon Club.This triathlon covered a half ironman distance including a half marathon. Elsewhere our runners were again in action in the NI Mountain Running Association Championship held in Kilbroney Forest Park, Rostrevor.

Club training cancelled on 2 and 3 August to facilitate members taking part in the Broughshane 5k and 10k on Monday 2 August.

James Hamilton continues to impress picking up 2 silver medals at the Ambulant meeting. Meanwhile Ballymena Runners were in action at the Galbally 5mile and 5k event

Ballymena Runners have been action again in the Mournes completing the Spelga Skyline. Others have ventured onto the slopes of Carntogher in the Sperrins to complete the Run the Carn race.

Ballymena runners have been in action at the Larne 10k and the Craigavon 10k. Some others preferred a hillier run in the Mournes as part the NI Mountain Racing championship

Ballymena Runners took part the NI Masters Championship with Silver for both Ben Morrow and Noel Connor while Kieran Scullion got a new Personal Best.

Meanwhile Parkrun returned to Ecos on Saturday morning albeit with some new measures to be Covid compliant. Almost 140 runners took part with over 20 getting new PBs. Many thanks to the volunteers and those worked behind the scenes to get everything running smoothly.
